List of 10 Female Model Police Officers in Anti-COVID-19 Battle Unveiled

Since the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak, a large number of women police officers have made great contributions to the epidemic prevention and control work. To commend and promote the deeds of the women role models, a list of 10 women police officers on the front line of the anti-COVID-19 battle was unveiled by the publicity bureau of the Ministry of Public Security and the Publicity Department of the All-China Women's Federation on March 29.

The list of the model police officers is as follows:

Wang Muxiang, a policewoman from Xisanqi Police Station of the Haidian Branch under the Beijing Municipal Public Security Bureau, stuck to her post all day to solve problems for the residents and spared no effort to safeguard the communities.

Fan Yiting, a community police officer from Tuanhe Police Station of the Daxing Branch under the Beijing Municipal Public Security Bureau, formed an epidemic-prevention team of the community immediately after the outbreak.

Dong Wei, chief of the women's auxiliary police group of the Harbin Municipal Public Security Bureau, in Northeast China's Heilongjiang Province, has fought round-the-clock on the front line of the epidemic prevention and control work at Taiping International Airport, working an average of 16 hours a day.

Feng Xiaoying, deputy director of the Detention House of Yuhang District, in Hangzhou, capital city of East China's Zhejiang Province, stuck to her post, soothing the emotions of detainees and ensuring a stable supervision area.

Shi Xuerong, a policewoman from Huashan Police Station of the East Lake High-Tech Development Zone Branch under the Wuhan Municipal Public Security Bureau, in Central China's Hubei Province, fully mobilized the masses and took the lead in setting up a volunteers' team, in a bid to provide targeted services of epidemic prevention and control for the community.

Zhou Yan, chief of the women's motorcycle fleet team directly under the Traffic Management Bureau of the Wuhan Municipal Public Security Bureau, overcame her sorrow over the death of her family member by pneumonia and led her team to conduct strict inspection of the city's exit checkpoints and the quarantine areas.

Zhang Hui, chief of the information detachment of the Public Security Bureau of Hong'an County, Hubei Province, led a women's team to conduct monitoring work at checkpoints and screening work in communities and buildings.

Chen Ruizhen, a police officer from Huangqi Police Station of the Nanhai Branch under the Foshan Municipal Public Security Bureau, in South China's Guangdong Province, led a women's team to fight at the front line of the anti-COVID-19 battle, monitoring at checkpoints and quarantine stations and screening factories and enterprises within the area under the police station's jurisdiction.

Zeng Shujun, an instructor from the Lianglu Police Station of the Yubei Branch under the Chongqing Municipal Public Security Bureau, went all out to publicize the epidemic prevention and control information by coining useful and catchy sayings.

Shan Xue, a physician of Respiratory Medicine Department from Shenzhen General Station of Exit and Entry Frontier Inspection, Guangdong Province, aided the fight against the COVID-19 in Hubei since the epidemic outbreak, taking the responsibility of the work in intensive care units.

The release activity, reported by the mainstream media and online platforms, introduced their touching stories by means of videos, video calls and interviews.
